Lies Christian Parents Believe

The stakes of parenthood have always been high. For decades, Christian parents have been offered a menu of resources that offer advice, guidance, and inspiration for those trying to “grow kids God’s way.” But some of the most popular Christian parenting literature of the past half-century has offered promises built on invisible beliefs, assumptions, and separatist impulses.

Kelsey McGinnis and Marissa Burt are writing a book that will explore the history and ideological underpinnings of popular Christian parenting literature. The working title of the project is “Lies Christian Parents Believe.” Check back here or follow us both on Instagram for content and updates!
